Quantatative Hcg @ 4weeks, After Miscarriage a Month Ago.

I had a miscarriage on Oct. 10, 2007. I tested positive for HPT on Nov. 6th 2007.
Today my OBGYN told me that my first Quant HCG is 39, which was taken on the 7th, so I am very early on. I am repeating the test tomorrow. What if the number only goes to 60? The doctor said that it has to get at least that high. Does this mean I will miscarry again if it doesn't?

No one here can tell you. This is something you'll need to discuss with your doctor. Make a list of all of your questions so you'll be sure to ask the things that come across your mind.

GOOD LUCK!

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I had my second round of bloodwork today. The doctor ordered STAT results. He was hoping to see my numbers go from 39 to 60. Well, to our surprise my HCG went to 109.
I was so surprised and relieved. I am scheduled for an ultrasound on the 26th. Hopefully we will know more then. I am estimating a due date of July 17th 2008.
I still can not understand how this happened just a month after a miscarriage.

A lot of women get pregnant quite quickly after a miscarriage. My mom didn't even have a normal cycel after her miscarriage. I didn't either but there was like three months between my miscarriage and when I found out. Yeah, I went that long without a real period or anything. Congrats on the pregnancy! Come join us in the pregnancy boards.
