Hello! What a great forum! I've had an
uninfected Bartholin cyst off the left
glad for about 5 years on and off (I'm
29). They've never given me too much
trouble, except when they get big it can
be kind of uncomfortable to sit.
Last summer I had one drained with a word
catheter. The catheter fell out about 3
days later. Today I went to see my
doctor. This time she just recommended
"scraping out the entire cyst"--she said
this was a hospital procedure and the only
side effect could be some scarring.
I am a little confused--do you think she
meant excision of the gland or excision of
just the cyst? Does anyone have any info?
How much time do you think I'll need to
take off from work? The doctor only does
the procedures on a Tuesday.
