Swollen Hard Glands And Lupus Posted: 11-09-07 23:10pm
I am an 18 year old female with a history
of positive ANA, fibromyalgia, arthritis,
and Reynoid's. When I was diagnosed with
these conditions at age 15, I was also
told that I had "Lupus-like symptoms" but
they were unable to pinpoint it as such.
Two months ago several glands along my
neck, behind my ears, and predominantly on
the back of my head, a few inches above
the hairline, became swollen and hard.
More appeared every week or so, despite no
visible illness at all. My rhumetologist
ordered blood work but suggested I see
someone else about this. My doctor at
school sent me to a surgeon, suspecting
lymphoma, and they were biopsied last
week.
Thankfully, there was no cancer, but now
I'm back to not knowing what it is. I
don't think I have enough of the symptoms
to have lupus- no rash or sensitivity to
sunlight or mouth sores.
Is it possible that this is still lupus?

It definitely is possible to still have
lupus, not everyone has the same symptoms
as each other. You basically just need at
least 3 symptoms, I think you should be
tested for it. It's better to be safe than
sorry.
