Using Two Hormonal Birth Control Methods
Posted: 11-10-07 12:36pm

I had a baby about 4 months ago in July and in august for my check up I got the 3 month birthcontrol shot. At a recent appt. I had an ultrasound and I have a thickend lining to my uterus, so my doctor put me on the pill. I have just finished that pack and I havent started my period yet. So my question is- could I be prenant again or is it just from my shot?

Does your doctor know you're on the shot? I'd say it's almost impossible for you to be pregnant. I didn't think it would be healthy to be on double-hormones like that.

If you're only on day 1 of the placebos then don't worry. Plus you're on Depo and that often makes women's periods go away, so you shouldn't be expecting to get one at all!

well its true that I shouldnt be getting one if the 3 months wasnt up but they are, and he said I need estrogen because the shot doesnt give that. I had been loseing alot of blood and tissue since I had my daughter...I didnt think that sounded real healthy either. Im on day 3 of the placebos.

I'd call your doctor and ask; but if you just got off the shot it's possible you won't get a period this month.
