Yes. You can still get pregnant. We don't know if you have ovulated. You can ovulate before you have your period.

Did you use protection? Condom?

You should take a pregnancy test in about 3 weeks.

DO NOT HAVE SEX WITHOUT A CONDOM. EVER. Wink

"when do you think i should take a test or something to know if i am or not.?"

It will come up negative if you take a home pregnancy test now, your hormones won't have changed enough in 3 days to make a difference to the little blue line. Smile 4 weeks. You'll have to wait until December before you can know for sure.

Actually, pregnancy tests are accurate in 10 - 14 days. Which was why I said 3 weeks (21 days). By then she'll have enough HCG in her system if she were pregnant, to throw the pregnancy test into positive. Smile

Don't expect any signs - a lot of girls never get any sign they are pregnant. Just take a pregnancy test in 3 weeks. You can go to planned parenthood and they'll give you one for free.

I also think you need to use birth control so this kind of thing doesn't happen in the future. You are far too young to be getting pregnant.

Oooh are they? You learn something new every day -shuts mouth-
Sowwi for wrong information.
It's just having had to buy one the other day, reading the back it said it was 99% accurate after 28 days, or up to 3 days before your first missed period if you got an ultra-expensive 'early bird' test.

Smile thanks for the correction!

You may not get ANY signs at all. I didn't when I was pregnant, absolutely nada. No regular sickness (although looking back at it, I did throw up rather a lot in those 3 months, not on a daily basis though), no headaches, my boobs felt fine.

Your best bet is to wait and take a test. AND GO ON BIRTH CONTROL!

YES. If you are pregnant then yes.
All round YES. You should definitely tell your mother, no matter what decision you may come to (abortion/adoption/keeping the baby). It is important that you and the baby are looked after properly and get the medical attention you need, you will struggle to get that without your mother's help at your age.

She may be angry, she may get cross but I tell you what, you are her daughter. She loves you. No matter how upset she may be at your decision, she will be there to support you.

I was so scared when I found out I was pregnant, so upset, the only person who knew was my boyfriend, I was stressed out and that alone was making me feel even worse than the pregnancy. Eventually I told my mother, after 2 weeks of knowing I was pregnant, and booking an appointment for an abortion. She came with me and she stood by me, she helped me through it, even though I was terrified at the thought of being put to sleep (for the abortion). She was upset that I had become pregnant at 18 but she supported my decision and she looked after me.

As for ways of telling her, don't do what I did. I ran into her bedroom, burst into tears and the whole sorry story came tumbling out in a mashed-up fountain of words. Plan it out first, if you cannot face telling her face to face (which is always the best option), you may want to write a letter, explain your situation, what you plan to do and any ideas on how you could go about your decision (pamphlets on abortion/adoption/some knowledge of the costs involved in raising a baby & how you would continue at school). If you show her that you are mature enough to think about what you are going to do she will appreciate it more than you walking up to her saying "I'm preggo n I'm gunna keep da baby".

Smile

did you not listen to what people were telling you?

YES you can get pregnant without ever having a period you ovulate (release an egg) TWO WEEKS BEFORE you're period- even your first one.

Good luck

youngchicke, can I ask you a question?

Why did you have sex when you have seen what happened to your sister?
