Did change in birth control delay my period? Posted: 11-12-07 23:59pm
I am 25 years old and have been on birth
control since I was 16. And my periods
have always came like they should. 3
months ago my doctor switched my birth
control to another brand called Loestrin
24. But last month I did not have my
period. I waited 5 days and then took a
pregnancy test...which came back negative.
I then waited another 4 days and took
another one and it too was negative. So
far I am about 2 1/2 weeks late. Today I
had a little spotting. I am just
wondering if maybe switching to a new
brand of birth control had an effect. But
I am wondering why it took almost 3 months
for it to happen. B/c I have been on
Loestrin now since the beginning of August
and my periods came like they normally
did.
Thanks for any advice!

Isn't loestrin famous for making women's
periods go away? It's a good benefit!

I thought Loestrin was supposed to only
make them shorter, not have them go away.
Hmmm not sure
