I Want to Have a Baby, But They Say Im Infertile! Posted: 11-13-07 12:07pm
i've been trying for 3 years now for a
baby, and i've had 3 miscarriages. my
doctor says anyone trying for a year
without success is considered infertile. i
have friends who have been told they were
infertile, but had children anyway. i
carried each pregnancy for more than two
months. does anyone have any advice for
me? there is nothing i want more in this
world than to have a child. if i have to
adopt, i will, but i really want to have
my own!!

Did your doctor refer you to a specialist?
He should have because you need to see
one.

I am not a professional in how the
reproductive system works, but I'll tell
you my opinion First of all, if
you have been pregnant and not been able
to carry the pregnancy to 9 months, you
are obviously not infertile, or you
wouldn't have been pregnant at all. Has
your doctor done any fertility testing? If
your doctor doesn't know what else to do,
I would find someone else. Atleast explain
your situation to them and get a second
opinion.

You Can Get Help Posted: 11-16-07 18:37pm
Hello,
I just read your post and I know that it
is so stressful with the words infertility
coming out of a doctors mouth! First of
all, I would suggest to make sure you get
a second opinion. Sometimes doctors can
overlook diagnosis and there are many
women who have had children after
recurrent miscarriages. They should have
done tests also to see if you have any
type of immune disorder that makes you
miscarry.
Secondly, as an Acupuncturist I would
recommend going to an Acupuncturist who
specializes in women's health. From
another medical perspective, there are
other modalities that can help diagnose
and treat you if you are getting pregnant
but miscarrying. Don't give up there is
help out there and good luck!

have you had hormone testing done? you may
need progesterone therapy. if your body
isn't making enough progesterone, you
won't be able to sustain a pregnancy.

I was told I was infertile as well but I
have a child.I actually have been pregnant
twice, but lost the first one at 21 weeks
due to an incompetant cervix.I think you
should get a second opinion.(I know this
post is old lol)
