You guys all have such great stories. Our
story is long and ugly.
It will only make me mad to get into it.
So, I'll spare you.

Me and my husband were high school sweet
hearts. I met him in band camp of all
things
During the summer before my 9th grade year
on a lunch break, we both ended up going
to the same fast food restaraunt together
and my best friend Jamie and I were
talking. The next thing I know this hot
drummer guy comes up to me and asks me if
Ill go play in the balls with him(you
know, those children's play place things?)
and I said no He thought I was a
snob or something since I wouldn't go be
stupid with him (he was a complete
stranger to me), and didn't think
differently until we ended up in the same
geometry class. We passed our graphing
calculators back and forth writing
eachother messages for days. He was
really good at math and I'm horrible at it
even though I always ended up in the
advanced classes (I'm really good at
english and other stuff like that... but
math is NOT my thing) and so I would
always ask him for help, even when I
didn't need it.
One day he asked me for a peice of paper
and then he slid it back onto my desk with
"can I have your number?" written on it at
the bottom. I was in the middle of taking
notes so it took me a while to get a
chance to return it, so he asked the girl
next to him for ANOTHER piece of paper and
wrote "can I have your number please?"
again... as if I couldn't read the first
one We
became "official" January 27.. of...
god... 2000 or something. By the end of
high school I'd seen our relationship turn
from lust into real love and it was great
It was
funny though because he ended up being the
drum captain and I was the color guard
captain. Sorry... I'm a band geek
He proposed the Christmas of our freshmen
year of college, and we got married in
June. I loooveeee him! This story
made me happy.
All of your stories are very cute, even
the one's you said were boring...
especially Sandy's! That is so sweet!!!

This might be a romantic one to some of
you. But it was back before the earth
cooled and when dinosaurs roamed the
planet. Jamie had toured Germany in a
college choir and met several boys. The
next summer, one of the German boys
visited America and stayed for a week with
her parents. They decided to take him to a
Texas Rangers' baseball game since he had
never seen a baseball game.
I was the sports editor of the daily
newspaper in Jamie's hometown and her
mother called the newspaper to see if they
wanted to write a story about the baseball
game and the German guy. I was assigned to
go out to the house and interview Werner
(the German guy) and Jamie prior to the
game. I took a photographer with me and we
also accompanied the family to the game
and took a lot of pictures.
Jamie told me later that she fell for me
like a ton of bricks (I was oh so handsome
back then) and she showed up at my office
the next day to look at proofs of the
pictures. I asked her out (okay, I fell
for her, too) and we went to see the movie
"Jaws" for our first date. A great date
movie by the way. This happened in April.
We got engaged in June and married in
December.
On December 27, we will celebrate our 32nd
anniversary and we are still best friends.

Me and Todd worked together at Disneyland.
We flirted back and forth for awhile
before anything ever happened. He invited
me to a party at his place but we forgot
to exchange numbers and I ended up lost
for an hour and just went home. He
invited me to another get together at his
place a few weeks later. He ended up
canceling and forgot to tell me. I was
the only one who showed up and got
frustrated and left. (I was really shy
and didn't know what to make of it and he
still laughs at how cute he was and how
dissappointed he was ).
A few weeks latter he was supposed to
eat lunch with me at work but the
cafeteria took too long and by the time he
got back I was back on shift. I told him
he could make it up to me with a date . Our first date he
made me dinner and took my to a movie. We
were official about a week later, moved in
together about 9 months later and
exchanged promise rings about2 months
after that. We plan on getting married in
the near future so the rest is pretty much
history

Dan and I met the summer of '04 right
after I had just spent the summer on a
college campus to do some intense musical
training.
When I was at the school my family had
started visiting this new church so I was
so pissed that I had to go with them to a
new church the day after I had flown home.
Well, I got to church and I noticed that
the pastor had a couple of cute sons. None
of them really seemed to notice or talk to
me. Dan later told me that he thought I
was really pretty but since he was going
back to school in like 3 weeks didn't want
to start anything.
The next sunday he taught Sunday School
and while I was sitting there listening to
him I was knew he was the guy that I
wanted to be with. I didn't usually fall
for his type so it was quite the amazing
thing. We talked allot the few weeks he
was at home but whenever he went back to
school and then concert season started for
me we were never able to make it work.
Life was just too crazy. I knew if this
was going to work it would take something
drastic for it to happen.
Two weeks before Christmas break the
conservative college Dan was going to
asked him not to return the following
semester. He only had 1 semester left so
it was pretty devastating. I was ecstatic.
We then starting talking every night for
about 5-6 hours because he worked at a
warehouse unloading boxes and was on the
night shift. I kept him awake all night.
There were some nights that I would get
off the phone with him while the whole
rest of the house was waking up and then I
would have to act like I was just getting
up too My mom didn't like
me talking on the phone that much.
In Feburary he gave me a promise ring on a
skiing trip. I was so depressed because I
had just injured my wrist playing the
violin and my doctor told me I needed to
limit everything because I had an
important concert coming up and I needed
to play in it. He felt bad for me so he
stayed in the lodge with me the whole
time. I don't think he really minded
though... I made up for the not skiing and
he got a different kind of work out
He proposed that Memorial day and then we
got married on New Year's Eve. I can't
believe that we are about to celebrate our
2nd anniversary and that we have a 3 month
old son.
Sorry I rambled. I love telling our story.

He was at my friends birthday party, then
a few months later he moved in with his
dad and went to the same school as me, and
sat in front of me in math class. We
actually didn't really talk until several
months later. Over the summer, I got
dumped by my "first love" and was really
upset over it. Jacob started talking to me
on myspace to see why it was all sad, and
he cheered me up. Then we started talking
every day, then for several hours
everyday... then we started dating, and,
well, here we are :]

Um let's see. Thomas and I met through a
yahoo chat room..*yea I'm serious* when I
was about 17 years old. We talked on and
off for about two years, but I wouldn't
meet him in person because I was underage
and didn't want to date someone who was
already in their 20s. Then when I moved up
to college, I was still talking to him,
and he would always ask me when we were
going to hang out. One night I was really
bored when I was talking to him, and he
asked to take me to a club so I could have
some fun and I could bring along my
friends, so I agreed. He ended up driving
an hour up to my school to take me to a
club for my 19th birthday, and the weekend
after that he asked me to be his
girlfriend and I said yes. And now, two
years later and we're still going strong.

I dont have a boyfriend, single mum here
too. I dont ever tell people about this
but I'll briefly say what happened with
Jays biological father incase anyone
wondered, someone asked in my other thread
before and I didnt mean to be rude I just
dont talk about it.
I met him at a concert when I was 16,
everything was great for a while, then he
became abusive. The police had to be
involved. He hasnt been in our lives since
I was pregnant. We have no contact for
safety reasons, and hes never seen Jay.

A long time ago this crazy girl lived with
me and she met Jon online. They were going
to meet in person and she was scared so me
and my sister went with her. So that is
officially the first time I met him.
Anyway, after that I never saw him again
until about a year later. My sister had
been dating this guy for about 3 or 4
months and he just happened to be friends
with Jon. Jon came over to visit my
sisters boyfriend, but I was sleeping.
About a week later my sister called me
from work because I was the one who picked
her up all the time and she told me that
Jon was there with another friend of her
boyfriends. So me and her boyfriend went
early to pick her up and that's when it
all started. We hung out for a couple of
weeks everyday and then we started going
out. Now we've been together for over 3
years and married for almost 2.
He likes to joke that he picked me up at
meijer.

The college he went to is Pensacola
Christian College. If you google it all
you will find is disgruntled students.
Here is his story. In 2003 he was kicked
out because of his religious beliefs (he
is calvinistic, they are armenian, you can
google that too, it takes forever to
explain). Because of that he was only
allowed half of the demerits a normal
student would get.
Well, the dork checked out of church
because he was sick (stupid people make
you go to their church). Whenever you do
that you have to go to something called
video church. Dan didn't go because he
forgot that he had been sick and they
kicked him out. I think the main thing is
not that. They were looking for a reason
to boot him. They even told him "We don't
want your kind here". Okay then
This college has issues but I am soooo
glad that he got kicked out. We probably
wouldn't be together now if he hadn't.

Well I moved in with one of my good
friends from school. Her husband was
friends with this older guy named Ike. Ike
wanted to get with me soooo bad. I met him
on St. Paddy's Day and we all got a little
too drunk so everyone crashed at our
house.
My friend's son, Riley, had broken my door
knob so it was only a hole in the door.
Well, the next morning, I woke up to Ike
standing over me, telling me he was taking
me shopping.
OK! I'm not one to pass up free goodies!
Well not too long after that (a few months
or so), Ike asked me and one of my
girlfriends to come over to his house
because he needed someone to clean it up
(Bachelors!)...
Anthony is Ike's nephew. I've been with
him ever since we met that night!
Weird story.
Ike's still jealous to this day
