Am I eligible for Commonwealth Care?
Posted: 11-13-07 22:41pm

I'm eligible for Commonwealth Care and my monthly premium is $35 (i'm assuming that's based on my old income when I applied for it). What I don't get is, how am I eligible? I make $6k a year and the other person in my household makes $55k a year? That's over 300% of the federal poverty level and should make me ineligble. I don't remember the information I gave, but it must've mentioned that my household is two or they must've checked it to see if it was real.

Or do they go by the income of the individual who applied?

What happens if I enroll, pay the premiums, and they later find out there was a mistake and I wasn't eligble?

That's what I think, but on all the information about the program it mentions the household thing. I called to ask and the first thing that came out of his mouth was "How many people are in your household?"

they usually dont over look things like that
so im pretty sure if they saw that in the first place then they know about the household members and income?

im not sure maybe you can call and ask them what they go on?
