Hey there, for the past month or so I have
been experiencing sensations throughout my
body. I am only 18 years old and a little
underweight, last time I checked my blood
pressure it was fine (month ago) I have
had no other test nor have been diagnosed
with anxiety/stress. Also have been
inactive from sport since my senior year,
which is about a year ago. Heres the list
of all the things I've felt mentally and
physically,
Mentally: Short tempter, very moody,
fatigued, do not feel like interacting
with family or friends (want to be alone)
Physically: Dizzyness, Lightheaded, weird
pains on arms/legs (tight feeling), sharp
pains on arms/legs, trouble breathing,
light headaches, vision feels blurred
(recently had glasses stolen. anxiety?),
minor twichting - mainly when I am not
moving.
All of these symptoms leads me to believe
i'm about to suffer a heartattack/stroke.
I try to clear my mind and tell myself i'm
fine, but its just not possible. Even if I
did clear my mind completely... when I go
to bed at night BAM I would remember
everything.
I've recently came back from my three week
holiday, could jet-lag enhance these
symptoms? Also throughout my holiday I
noticed when I was having a good time
these effects 'sort' of fade away for a
few days or so (anxiety?)
Family life isn't so great.... I took a
year off before I head to University so I
could relax. During the year I've had my
sister, brother and
mother nagging me about life, and what I'm
I going to do (get a job, get out of the
house, do this do that, etc) All of their
accusations are true, but in general I am
a very lazy person, and yes I do admit I
have a gaming addiction.
My brother is trying to help me through
this as I had explained everything to him
a few hours ago. He is telling me to find
a job, exercise, draw up a routine for
myself, stay off the video games. I know
he is right, but I just cannot do it?! I
dunno why, what is wrong with me? Is it
the combination of lazyness, anxiety,
depression? Do I have a heart problem? My
family medical history has had no reports
of a weak heart of anysort. Am I over
reacting?
Please help, I am in dier need. =/

Sounds like you got it pretty bad at home
that could cause anxiety and stress in
your life. If you have'nt already maybe
it's time to take a break away from the
family. Sometimes it helps just to be away
for awhile. I know I myself had to
actually move out of my sisters house due
to the same thing,
About you gaming problem. I sumise you are
talking about gambling? Well, I too had
that problem and I am now almost three
years away from a casino. If I can do it
so can you. I will tell you, I love my
slot machines. Just try and force yourself
to stay away from them and just think to
yourself all the things you could do with
the money you have lost.

Remember, everyone is different on this
board. Some maybe are lucky enough to make
it without "dope", others like I can not.
It is the only thing holding us together.
Anxiety is real and not some skit from a
unrealistic play. I'm trying to be nice
here, but you making it sound like those
of us that use anti-depressants etc are
druggies. Please watch you wording as it
could offend.
Now, if you are talking about illegal
drugs, then yes I agree.
Plus you have to remember, alot of us have
so much on our plates we don't know what
to eat first. I have suffered for over 5
years now and it is not fun. Go look at my
profile. Many of us have other things
wrong with us too. And that does not
help.

it sounds very similar to what i have been
going through recently.
im only 14 and my dad has been in colorado
and we are currently in arizona.
its very streful and hard to be away from
my dad. also, my brother has been
experementing with alchohol and marijuana
which causes mood swings for him which can
cause everynones moods to be down and
stressed out.
best way to eliminate these problems is to
stay posotive. think about something you
like. find activities to do to keep your
mind off of these problems you are
haveing.
your fine...its not anything to worry
about...stay posotive!!

I am 48 years old. I moved to Texas in
1999 and had a stroke in 2003. I think it
was depression and anxiety and unhappiness
and lack of exercise all combined. I moved
to a small Texas town from San Francisco
and hated it. As I have learned to deal
with life here and with the help of Xanaz
I am doing better.
