Q: Pregnant Taking Prometrium

I just found out I am 4 weeks pregnant and my progesterone level is only 11.8. Normal level for 1st trimester bottoms out at 11.2 so my doc put me on 200mg of prometrium daily. Has anyone ever taken this form of progesterone?? The warning label states, "do not take if you are pregnant". Now I am concerned but I will do what it takes to carry this baby. Someone please respond! I am so confused.
Thanx

Prometrium
Your doctor knows more about the prescription than you do, do not worry. I am also pregnant and taking 400mg a day. Normally women's prog. Level is much higher and that is why they should not take a supplement. In our case, it is very low and we need this supplement to make up for what our body is not producing. Talk to your doctor about it, but in the meantime let your mind be at ease. Many women in our situation are prescribed this medication.
