My Appt Today Posted: 11-14-07 19:33pm
Hey girlies! Just wanted to update
everyone on my appt today.
It went pretty good. Found out that I was
pretty dehydrated from the nurse.
Dante is doing great, like always!
And my doctor finally checked me today!
But I'm only a fingertip dilated and 30%
effaced and his head is at -3 position.
So that didn't make
me that happy...I was hoping I'd be more
dilated.
She did say that my cervix is soft and
anterior, so once I get a regular
contraction pattern, everything should go
quickly.
And she said that the perinatologist that
she talks to every week about me isn't
pushing for an induction right now, but
she said that she'll talk to about that
tomorrow when they discuss my platelet
levels again.
I hope I go soon. She's going to be
out of town from next Tuesday till Dec
2nd, and I really don't want the other
doctor delivering me. Not really
comfortable with that idea.
Sorry it's so long.

don't worry if your doctor is out of town
when you go to the hospital. the doctor
doesn't really do anything, the nurses are
the ones who labor with you and the doctor
just comes in when the baby is about to
come out.
not much longer! i bet he'll have a full
head of hair!

LOL Yea, I've had low platelets since I
was 28 weeks. And yep, I have gestational
thromocytopenia. My platelets are just a
little above 50. I think last week they
were at 62, but they haven't put me on
anything. They said they'd do steriods if
they fell below 50, but since I'm so close
I doubt they'll fall that low.
And I know about not being able to have an
epidural, but I'm not getting one anyway.
So I'm kind of glad that I can't get it.
