Help Me Think

I am doing this course for school, it's
called peer tutoring. Basically I go into
a younger grade class and help the kids
every day. I do it in the help center
last period of the day, which is where
they send the bad kids and the kids that
are having trouble with their work.
Another part of the course is that we have
to pick an organization within the
community that we are passionate about and
raise awareness and funds for it. I
picked our humane society, so I have to
set up a meeting with the director there
and set up my fundraisers, or whatever I
decide to do for them.
The thing is, I cannot think of any
fundraiser ideas. The ones I have is to
raise awareness within the school, and get
some students to help me run a bake sale
and a lunch for the students and teacher
and donate that money. I think this is a
pretty dry idea though, and would like to
do something "bigger".
Could you guys please help me with ideas
for either raising awareness or funds?
One of the things that limit this is that
it's winter here, so it's too cold to have
an outdoor event.

Do you guys have a rec center? You can
hold a bball run or other activities to
raise funds? I'm kinda stumped too seeing
that its winter.

how about a concert? check out some local
bands and see if they're into the cause
and would perform for free. they could
make money for themselves by selling their
goods after the show.
oh, and since it's for the humane society
you could have something where people
bring pet food and get $1 off admission or
something like that.

how about you draw people for a few $? you
can do like christians portriat take 5-10
min each person...but, where thats the
issue

Do a pet walk? Since it's for an animal
shelter, I think you should do something
involving animals.

That's a good idea! I could use my
drawings. Like have a draw and then draw
a portrait of whoever wins

Okay, great idea! I should of thought
about that since Nathan is in a band. They
would (probably) do that! I actually don't
know where the money they make normally
goes, I will ask him tonight.

I thought of that, but it's winter and no

I wish I could help you Tanya, i think
you're amazing.
I was thinking of something like this,
it's kind of the same, but not. You know
how I brought up how mad I am at people
because they take kittens and puppies and
take them to the highway where I drive to
work everyday & just leave them? Well
I went to work yesterday and I kid you
not, three more dead kittens. It makes me
so sad and I hate it, I want to do
something but I don't know how!!!! I wish
I could like.. put up a sign *BRING THEM
TO ME!! phone number here* lol

Yeah it's horrible, next time I'm by
myself I am stopping if I see a live one,
my mom won't let me because she doesn't
want anymore cats.
I wish I had good ideas for you, but it
looks like the people up there have
already given you pretty good ones, I wish
I could help you with them! Too bad you're
so far away.

Thats so sad people dump animals like
that. I couldnt not stop and get them. You
could drop them off outside a no-kill
shelter in a safe pet carrier with a warm
blanket inside for them. Puppies and
kittens find new homes quicker than older
animals. Rescue them!
