Thinking About Having Another Baby..i Need Mom Opinions!

Brian will be leaving for iraq sometime in
Feb. and we were thinking about trying to
get pregnant. Bree will only be 6 months
old, but ive always wanted my kids to be
really close. Plus with insurance and the
time he has left in the Marines its kind
of the only time that makes sense to try
for another one. Also, im so morbid but I
want at least one more baby and i will
never have children with anyone but him,
and if something were to happen to him, i
would want another baby.
If I got pregnant in Feb. (which could
not happen, but it took us two weeks to
get pregnant with Bree) the kids would be
about 17/18 months apart.
Does anyone have kids spaced out like
this? What do you think about it?
Knowing what you know now would you do it
again?

I never wanted my kids to be close in age,
Jay is 4 and Im really glad I can devote
all my time and energy on him instead of
having to juggle it between 2 or more
kids. I think its important to be able to
give them one on one attention especially
when young. Its a personal decision, and
depends on your situation and personality.
If you think its the right thing go for
it.

I think it would be tough when they are
young (in the terrible two phase)
but i think it would be worth it in the
long run. My husband and his sister are
11 months apart and are best friends. I
live close to family though and Bree is an
amazing baby, she is already so social and
loves other kids. Brians also a really
hands on dad and once he is out of the
military, I wont have to do it all by
myself anymore.
Sandy how far apart are your kids?
Did you all plan to have them close?
Whats the hardest part?

My siblings and I are all 1 yr and a half
apart and its great. The age difference
between me 21 and the twins 12 can be
crazy but its good. I like havin young
brothers and one brother thats 18. There
is six of us.
21, 18, 16, 14, 12
My mom spent her entire 20's pregnant and
changing diapers. It was really hard but
I think she is glad she had her kids close
together.
Sorry not much help with your question.
But I am thankful my mom gave me a brother
and sister that could relate to me.....

same while im getting the first one of out
something.
jacob beats the crap out of her.. plus hes
going thru the Terrible Two's stage right
now, and she sees him acting like that, so
she learns to act like that. AT ONE.

thats good to hear!!
My brothers and sister are close to me to
and I loved that growing up.
We are 28, 24, 22, 19
I dont ever remember feeling neglected and
my mom had a daycare at our house and went
back to school for her masters while being
a hair dresser!
haha I just doubt myself in being able to
be as great as my mom was.
What does it do to your body too?
I mean with the first I got by with little
stretch marks and im back to pretty much
normal 4 months after her with little
trying (ive been trying for a month)
I know a lot of it has to do with me being
young, but do you think its as easy with
the second?

mine are going to be 17 months apart and i
can't wait. we were hoping for an 18-24
month gap, so this is close enough.
finn is such a good boy, if this baby is
half as good as him this should be a
breeze. (so i hope!)

an appointment for January to have it
takes out and if I get pregnant sometime
between then and when Brian leaves then
awesome but if not then thats okay too.
Wow.. im getting kind of excited about it.
It just feels like the right thing to do.

My sister had her daughter when her son
was 14 months old. She found it hard in
some ways but easier in others. She didn't
have to deal with her son being jelious of
Faith because he didn't really know what
she was and she could use alot of the
things she had left over from Daniel. but
is was hard looking after a child who is
still a baby himself whilst looking after
a dependant newborn

he was just about 8 months. my c-section
is scheduled for exactly 17 months after
the day he was born.
this pregnancy kicked my ass in the
beginning and that was hard while having
to take care of him. now everything is
great though.

My two youngest sisters are.... uhm, let
me count.... 15 months apart. IT SUCKS. SO
BAD.
They were fine when they were younger,
they were each others bff's. But now
they're spoiled BRATS at just-turned-9 and
about-to-turn-8. They fight, all the time.
Bicker bicker bicker, pick pick pick. Gawd
I don't know how my mom stands it. I go to
bed two hours after they get home, and
even that is too much time with them.
I don't want to have another kid until
Jayden's 3... and if we're not ready for
another baby then, then we're holding off
until she's 7.

my mom looks great for 6 kids. She has a
lot of stretch marks, but there are really
faded after all theses years. She has
stayed fit. She walked everywhere during
her pregnancies and while we were growing
up she walked too. She never was inactive
while pregant. Shes actually only gave
birth 4 times. The twins were c-section,
and they were only 6 months old when they
were born.
My mom just always told me to always walk,
walk, and walk and I would look great. If
I got her genes then that will happen.

mine are 10 1/2 months apart and i found
it very easy. i can imagine it is harder
with an 18 month age gap cause baby no.1
is just about to hit terrible twos.
can i advise you though that i had my coil
out and i still haven't ovulated and it's
been out a month already. so if you want
to concieve get it out now and use
condoms.

glass of champagne this year lol. Come to
think of it if I do suceed in being
pregnant, Brianna will be 7 months old
when it happens. Its kind of scary but im
getting really excited thinking about it!
lol I just watched her birth videos and
the ones from when she was first home. It
made me get all teary eyed.
