Post Circumcision Worries... Posted: 11-17-07 09:54am
I'm 16 and received a circumcision last
afternoon. He told me he was "going to
remove all foreskin and fragelum" and I
said ok. My penis hurt only 2 hours after
surgery and is 100% fine now! If it all
heals correctly, will it look like the
avergage, normal, circumcised penis? The
stiching is just below the head of my
penis.
I'm very worried!

Of course! If it heals well, it will look
fine. In fact, getting circumsized at your
age is safer than getting it done as a
baby.

I got it loosely circumcised and the
stiching is RIGHT below my head. Is it
going to look like the average circumcised
if it fully heals!?

As far as I could tell from your
description, yeah! Why wouldn't it?

The only thing you MIGHT notice is a
slight colour difference between your head
and your shaft skin. This is because the
head of your penis has been covered by
your foreskin your whole life and hasn't
been exposed to the wear and tear of the
outer world.
"The average circumcised penis" is a
difficult term to use, because
circumcisions vary in technique. Sometimes
they're done, as you were, right under the
head and around the frenulum (a very
signifcant pleasure centre under the head
of the penis), so the skin is still
loose.. some are done right directly
around the circumference of the penis
under the frenulum (like many at birth),
and some, unfortunately, are done by
removing all or portions of the
frenulum.... not to worry, though, this is
usually done by an untrained person, such
as a tribal or inexperienced religious
leader or something of the like.
In any case, it sounds like your doc knew
what he was doing. You'll be fine!
