What Kind of Things Set Off You Depression?
Posted: 11-18-07 10:09am

I would be interesting to know what sets you off. Sometimes it could be little simple things that would seem like nothing to someone esle. I will give you a recent example.

I forgot to give my son the lunch I made the night before to take to work with him. As he gathered his things to go to work that morning, I said " I love you and have a good day". He worked nine hours that day. About 2pm I realize I forgot to give him his lunch to take with him. I emmediatly when into a slight state of depression feeling guilty for doing that. Now, that is something I was able to overcome but, the fact that it atcually depressed me is what really sucks.
So you see, even as a supporter, I also go through it. And have to practice what I preach.

What makes you depressed and how badly?

How bout some feedback?

Rainy days.

Sometimes I wake up depressed?

And another trigger is coming down after coffee.

Pregnancy is suppose to be a beautiful time in a womans life. Maybe this will help. I am a guy. When my wife was pregnant. The only beautiful women, besides my wife, was other pregnant women. So, don't feel ugly or sad. Your are very, very beautiful right now.
One time I woke up from a very bad nightmare. I was sooking wet with perspiration. I went to the bathroom to wash my face. I realized that I had just dreamed my life. I needed fantasy after that.

I'm not normally a depressed person. But the holidays get to me at times.. Not because of the buying of gifts. But the hassel of all of it.. My family and co-workers (mostly men) are saying I can't wait for Thanksgiving. I ask them why and their answer is all that food and football. I think. " yeah 5 hours of cooking for 20 minutes of eating and then another hour clean up.
And the same thing Christmas Day only throw in all the wrapping papers to clean up.. It's just hard when you work 40 hours a week and have to do it all at home.. My Hubby will help if I would let him, but he makes more of a mess then it is worth..

Blammm hummm bug! Not really I like the hoildays but they really can get overwelming..

Failure- any time I fail to live up to the goals I've set for myself. And I feel guilty about it for months, or even years.

That man knows how to help right. If he really didn't, he would follow your intructions to the letter. That is the way guys are. We ignore context, or intent. We follow to the letter. If you give him clear instructions he will help correctly. If he still screws up, tell him to stop pretending to be stuped. I don't know how your relationship is. You will have to be the judge. But, you now should have his number.

eveything and anything sets mine off. i could see a little kid do something nice, if i feel like i let someone down that i care about, and generally, whenever i think too much about my life i get depressed. you name it and it works. i'm not even exaggerating. i'm absolutely a cryer, the tears come way too easily these days. oh and definitely the holidays, everything about them. mostly because i don't really have any family.
