Pregnancy Forum - Rylee Ann's Birth Story

Hey Ladies! So here is the Birth story and it shouldn't be too long Smile

So my husband (Jason) and I went into be induced at 5am. Didn't really get there til 5:20...lol Got in and hooked up to the IV and moniters.. Then they asked if I was going to get an epidoral I said YES Smile

I was going to wait til my contractions really started to kick in so I would be focused on that and not whats going on behind me.. I did that with my son.. Well the nurse came in and was like the head anastisioligist (How ever you spell it) called and said they had 4 OR going all day after 8am and that they recomend me getting it now cause if they were in the OR then I couldn't get one...lol So I sat there and hesitated about it and I was like well I better just get it done.. Well the guy came in ( 7:45am ) and of course I get all nervous cause I wasnt having a single painful contraction.. Well to make a long story short he had to do it 4 times and give me like 5 numbing shots Sad

Well he still didnt get it in.. By then my back was so sore.. So they called in the head guy and he was like well do you wanna let your back rest for a bit I said YES.. Anyways after I cryed alittle and about an hour later they asked if I was ready to get it yet.. I was like am I ready no but will I get it yes.. Then he came in and he did it 2 times with like 3 numbing shots Sad

So after 6 epidoral needles and 8 numbing shots I finally had it...lol By this point it was 9:15am and I was hurting (contractions) and the epidoral was only really working on my right side.. So I was still feeling them really bad in my left Sad

He was in there till about 10am fidgiting to see if it was kicking in on my left side.. Well by the time he walked out I was still really feeling it on my left Sad

I got checked about 9am and I was 3cm dialated.. then I got check at about 10:05am and I was a full 10cm.. So by the time they ended up getting everything ready I pushed not even for 3min. and Rylee Ann made it into the world at 10:20am Smile

So basiclly I was only at the hospital for 5 hrs. before I had her.. It was very different from my son.. But when I look back I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.. Epidoral and all...lol I can't wait to have at least one more...lol And ladies who are having your first don't take my story and get all freaked because it is so different for everyone.. Trust me I had both kids and some things were the same but others were different Smile

There are pros and cons about both deliveries.. He I am already talking about having another...lol Smile
