i really appreciate someone reading this
and giving me some thoughts. i'll try to
be clear.
my symptoms come in waves and are
definitely effected by certain kinds of
stimulous.
recently i got a book called the Highly
Sensitive Person. in the test i scored
quite high. i apparently have
hypersensitivity. too much stimulous has
negative physical effects. it can be
external stimulous, for instance, light
often bothers my eyes, and driving even
without traffic can be stressful. it seems
it can also be mental stimulous, as simple
as a direction of thoughts. both seem to
easily effect my nervous system.
my symptoms are stomach tension and skin
sensations like itching, needles, waves of
stress running down. in fact sometimes
directly after i have a negative thought,
i can feel a wave run down. it's like the
body is reacting to the stress.
almost daily i experience brain fog, poor
concentration, fatigue, shortness of
breath, light-headedness, stomach
knotting.
things i've found to help over the years
are taking a break from the stimulous
(thoughts or external) and doing breathing
practice. listening to soft music. napping
for 20 minutes or so. and eating properly.
i want to say i use no drugs, cigerettes,
or alchohol. my lifestyle is quite
balanced.
i have been under the minimum weight for
someone of my age and build by 15-20 lbs
for a long time. i'm about 130 - 134 lbs
at 23 years old and 5'9. i feel too thin
and that my hypersensitivity could be
caused or worsened by it.
so overall i feel like i have a sensitive
nervous system which is easily effected by
certain stimulous like smells or light or
crowds. but also there's definitely an
effect from thoughts and negative thinking
patterns (which i try to avoid.) i'm not
sure of the origin is mental or physical,
but i wanted to get some opinions. thank
you!
