Ok I know babies are not supposed to have
milk until they are one but what about all
of the other main dairy things? Is there
any certain age before they can have
cheese and yogurt?
I should probably know this but I just
can't come up with anything!
Thanks in advance!

I got Jenny some 6 month+ yoghurts... I
don't think they make them for babies
younger than that. As for cheese.. I
didn't give her actual pieces of cheese
til about 10 months, but it's in some of
her jars of baby food & she's had
those since about 6 or 7 months.
I don't think there are any strict rules..
it's up to you!

My ped said that yogurt was fine because
it's broken down so much that it is quite
easy on the stomach. Just be careful what
you mix it with, because little ones can't
have strawberries.
I have given my son ice cream and he
really loves it. He's 8 months

I really don't know why, I just know my
ped said not to give them. I don't know
if it has somthing to do with the seeds?
What I was told is under the age of 1 a
baby can't have Peanut products, honey,
seafood, strawberries, and honey. I have
also heard they can't have egg whites or
chocolate, but my ped didn't say that,
just some random person.

Ya the seeds would be my guess..
I took Brayden in for his 9mo appt last
week and they gave me a list of foods to
try.. It didn't have strawberries on it
tho so I guess I never really thought
about it!
Oh and now that you mentioned they can't
have seafood I'm probably going to get the
worst mommy award.. I let brayden have a
few bites of tuna helper last night .. I guess the dr.
forgot to tell me seafood was a no no
too...
But in good news, I did decide to give
brayden yogurt this morning and he LOVED
it!

I gave Oni cheese when she started eating
the Gerber Puffs. She also STILL loveeees
yogurt!!
I also gave her strawberries and
rasberries at around 8 months. It's not
because of the seeds, it's because of a
potential allergic reaction to the red dye
that they natually contain.

Donald loves shredded cheese and yogurt.
In fact we are having difficulties with
solids and that is so far the best for us.
we are working on more. i wish you the
best. Donald is now 10 months so im sure
your little guy should do fine with some
cheese and yogurt
