My suggestion would be to be CERTAIN to
tell the MRI tech's (the person doing your
MRI) that you have a METAL IUD, in rare
cases if there is something metal in
somewhere such as the intestine, the metal
object will rip through the lining of the
stomach and cause some pretty severe
problems, (I work in the medical field)
that being said, I'm not sure such as the
case in IUD's just be certain to let them
know.

Is copper magnetic? What exactly is in the
Copper Coil IUD? If it's wrapped around
another non-reactive metal or even a
plastic, then you're fine: HOWEVER I would
alert your doctor to this immediately!!!
I'd never take a chance with my uterus!
You saw the guy one House? Iron key,
ripped right through his spleen!

MRI AND COPPER IUD'S DO NOT REACT.
HUGE MYTH.
I have had 5 MRI due to back problems, and
I am in the healthcare field myself, and
have never had a problem.
