New Here, No Symtoms For About 6 Months Posted: 11-26-07 13:40pm
hi people. i just wrote this huge post,
and messed something up, so i have to
write a new one. lol
i won't. well, i don't know, i'd like to
talk to some of you, but i'll just read
the posts, i guess.
i am feeling quite ok, but i have stopped
taking medications in spite the doctors
wishes. i had gained a lot of weight, but
since i stopped taking medications, i lost
most of it. that solely made me happy, and
peaceful. i can finally breathe now.
but i feel i' ve made the wrong choice,
somehow. or is it the conscience? i don't
know. well will see. plus i don't know
much about schizophrenia, about its
development, but i know it does come back,
i mean, it will "hit" me again, right?
so, now i am moving on, sort of, slowly, i
don't admit this, but actually waiting for
it to arise again.
bye, everyone, and take care!

Hey! Welcome to the boards. I'm glad
you're posting!
I can't say if you made the right choice
or not. But I will tell you what I know-
~ If you have schizophrenia and aren't
treating it, yes, it will probably come
back
~ If you didn't like effects of your
medications, you can always work with your
doc to adjust doses to what is best for
you.
~ Schizophrenia is chronic- that is, it
won't go away and will probably only ever
get worse unless it is treated. So why not
treat it??
Best of luck.

Thanks For Your Suggestion. Posted: 11-28-07 14:48pm
i will see to it. i will, really.
i guess i still think of it as something
rather awkward i went through, just that,
and although it did change me, i am now
living as if i were ok.
but, since i am feeling like many years
ago, i never actually spoke openly to
someone who would listen, and abow all,
know about it.
i will find a better doctor. these ones
take no care of me. literally.
thanks, and cheers!

You do need to find a better doctor who
you trust!!
It is possible to have a psychotic episode
that doesn't return (which wouldn't be
schizophrenia, it could be something else)
However, if you were accurately diagnosed
with schizophrenia, that probably isn't
the case. But a better doctor will be able
to tell you what is going on with you and
find medication that you both can agree
on.
