I know I have seen this posted but I can't
remember when or hw long ago. But I just
called in today and made my first
appointment. My questions are what does
your first appointment usually consist of?
And how long did everyone last? I am doing
mine on my hour lunch break from work. I'm
hoping it doesnt take that long but just
in case it does or takes a little longer I
have already let everyone know. thanks.

mine was a while because i had paperwork
to fill out.. but after that, i got a
vaginal ultrasound, had blood drawn (about
5 viles), weight checked, bp checked,
hemoglobin checked, (where they prick ur
finger) vaginal exam, and talked to my
doctor about diet and exercise. (does
anyone else think *exercise* is spelled
funny? lol maybe its me..)

My first appointment lasted what seemed
like FOREVER. All the paperwork &
family history..

Yeah, it took well over an hour. The
family hx questions lasted an hour at
least.

You know how dr's can be..you'll probably
wait over an hour just to get in the exam
room and then another 30 min till the dr
comes!
My first appt they check my weight, bp,
babys heart beat, did paper work and had
to draw blood.
They scheduled the vaginal exam and
ultrasound for a different week, because
my doctor just likes to do the basic stuff
first!

I was just thinking though..if you are
worried it will take to long you could
probably go in a head of time and ask to
filll out the paper work so that part is
already done and that will knock off a
good chunk of time!

She said that I would only need to go in
and fill out paperwork if i didnt get it
in the mail before my appointment. So i
think that means they are mailing it to me
so that way I can fill it out before we go
in.

i've got my first appointment today. but
i'll doubt it will be as long as my first
appointment with william. they'll probably
just send my notes off from williams
pregnancy to the hospital
