Light Period And Pregnant?

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant off an on for the past year (I'm 30). Ever since we started trying I started having pain in my left side. After a CT scan and a sonogram turned up nothing, the pain continued. I was told to take Advil. Finally, months later they found a cyst on my left ovary (2.2 cm at its largest dimension). My period have been regular so long as I measured from when my ovulation test turned out positive and has always followed a very regimented pattern. Once I hit the cramp day, it's 6 days to completion. End of story. No variation. Well this last month, my husband and I tried yet again. My left ovary has been hurting on a fairly constant basis. When my period was due I started spotting (well actually it was a couple of days before the official first day but that's not abnormal). It never moved past the equivalent of a light flow. As in, for the past 6 days I've done no more than barely make a mark on a pad. The day cramps were due was 2 days ago and nothing happened except I felt really tired and dizzy that day. The spotting increased to a semi-light flow but that was about it. Now it looks like whatever is going on is on the verge of being completely gone. Oh and the blood was almost always brown. Only once was there a real clear shot of red blood. Some looks on the pink side. I took a urine pregnancy test at 16dpo in the afternoon and it came up neg. Can a pregnancy test be WRONG at 16dpo?

Is it possible that I'm still pregnant? AND Is it possible for a hemorragic cyst to interfere with your regular period? I'm flabbergasted by this whole thing and absolutely lost. My boobs didn't even hurt this month (which does occasionally happen). It was also weird because instinctively I knew I wouldn't get my cramps this month. I don't even know how I knew it. I just did.
