Q: Syphilis Blood Test and Appearance of Antibodies
asked by: GBR on November 29th, 2007
New User, Becoming EHEALTHy
I had a sore on my lips about 10 days after having anonymous sex.
I went to a clinic and they did a blood test which came back "non reactive".

I later read that antibodies can appear only 6-8 weeks after exposure. Does it mean that the results I received may be inaccurate (at this stage)?

Thanks,
GBR
