Coughing And Blood And Acid? Posted: 11-29-07 16:55pm
I have been coughing for almost 10 months
now. I have been to 3-4 different
doctors, 1 ENT doc and 1 Lung doc and I
just cant get better. I keep on coughing
up phelgm and blood at times. Really bad
at night. I have been tested for
Brochatis and other things. Now the Lung
doc says I have SEVERE asthma but I have
been on Pumotrol, an oral inhaler AND the
asthma/allergy pill... singular? AND NO
PROGRESS!!! I dont know what it is and am
miserable... dont know where to turn...
can anyone PLEASE help!!!
Also my first doc thought it was acid
reflux and put me on Prolosec and that
didnt work either.

There are tiny little blood vessels in you
throat that are easily damaged just by
coughing. As long as you are not coughing
up alot of bright red blood, I would just
take the advice from your doctor.
Continuous coughing will do that. Same
thing with you nose. If you blow to hard
you can open up some of those tiny blood
vessels also. Any forceful cough out
sneeze can do it.
