Love a Good Deal!!

For X-mas Jesse's getting a Brian Dawkins jersey and I'm taking him to the Saints vs Eagles game in New Orleans. The Saints and the Eagles are both his favorite team. It was either this or an XBOX 360, so I chose the game. He has no clue! He's been wanting to see the Eagles play and this may be B. Dawkins' last year. This morning I went online to buy him a jersey. The jerseys were 10% off, so I was happy. Well right before buying it I decided to look up too see if nfl.com had any promo codes and they DID! I got an additional 15% off!!!! I was so excited!
So tonight I went on the Saints website to buy tickets for the 3rd time this week. The good seats ranged from 172-400. I wasn't paying that much for tickets, so I decided after 2 days of pondering it and deciding what to do I went to the Eagles site. I just bought Section 122 lower level corner seats for 128 a piece. They were originally 160, but they were on sale. I compared it to the ones the Saints were selling and one section over the Saints are selling them for 400! So at the checkout I decided to look up on yahoo to see if the website had any promo codes and they DID! I got 15 dollars off my purchase! I must have saved about 45 bucks today! So my advice is to ALWAYS search to see if the website your buying from has promo codes. More than likely they do! Words of wisdom for today. Carry on.

Jesse doesn't have any game systems anymore. He hasn't done that in years, but he really wants one. Ava's in bed at 7:30 and there's really not much to do. I have work to do sometimes. He works 7 days on and 7 days off, so he does have free time during naps and when she goes to sleep. Don't think that my husband sits in front of the tv all day. He is a great dad and husband. He is not one of "those" guys or whatever you call it. That was pretty rude by the way.

As far as the suprise gift. He always spends ridiculous amounts of money on me for x-mas and I don't usually spend that much b/c I'm more conscious (sp) about my spending. Well he's such a great father and works so hard he deserved this. My mom's coming over that morning to watch the baby all day. I'm going to give him the jersey and tell him to go get dress. We'll go to the game then go eat and go to a casino probably. He'll be soooo suprised.

That's awesome. I love a good deal.
I just ran into a Jersey for sale on craigslist, and it's Reggie Bush from the Saints. Weird.

Good deals always feel so good. He's going to love his gifts.

Nothing wrong with a guy wasting some time on video games. I know I do, and will continue to do so at 50. I mean, we come waste our free time here, why can't a man waste his on video games?

I was thinking the same thing! After she's asleep I come on here to do work and check my emails and he just sits and watches tv. He could be doing something he enjoys. He likes the xbox football game. His brother has it.

lol

i wasnt trying to be rude..i just pointed out Rob sees it as no fun nor amusing and finds better things to do with his time. They just dont appeal to him.. how was that rude again?
I would understand if i said, "Hey any grown up that plays a video game is a big ol' baby!" but i didnt.. I also didnt imply that he sits in front of the TV all day.. where did you get that from?

i just said thankfully he isnt the type to get engrossed in a video game and forget about everything else in his life. ive known several guys like that and i hate them for it. espcially when they have kids they could be playing with.

jeez.

awesome gift, betsy! i have no clue what i'm getting nick and i'm running out of time!

no way, B.. i meant one of those people that sit there and become practically a PART of the game and ignore everything and everyone else in their life. i know somebody just like that.. i cant stand him. he ignores his wife, ignores his newborn son, and gets mad if anyone interupts him while playing to say change a diaper or watch the baby so my friend can pee or take a shower.

Rob and i have just always been the type to not be interested in video games.. i had an N64 when i was a teen.. and a PS2 a few years ago. I played it when i was prego with Jacob, then after he came along, I lost interest in them, thats all.

Go back and read what you wrote and see how it was rude. Apparently I wasn't the only one that noticed. Not a big deal though coming from you.
