Pool Activity ok after lower back surgery? Posted: 12-02-07 18:11pm
It is safe to go in the pool at the YMCA
and walk 15 days post op from a lower
back surgery? My instructions were no
bending, lifting, twisting for 6-8 weeks
but nothing about going into the pool with
my shirt on waist high more specifically.

i rekon you should not go into a pool
until your incision has completely healed
or a bug may get into your wound even if
you don't immerse yourself in the water or
you have a shirt on

As far as I know a new surgical incsion is
to be left clean and dry for however long
the dcotor says. I agree with rolla64.
Untill that is completely healed and
closed you are only looking for more
trouble.
