Years ago before I had kids I could wear
with no issues. But after having kids the
tampons just don't ever seem to fit right.
After awhile (like an hour) they start to
work themselves out. I feel as if I am
putting them in the right way because I
don't feel them or anything when I put
them in. I use the regular size tampons
(not super or slender or anything). What
causes them to work back out so soon after
putting them in? Also in case this makes a
difference I have a back tilted cervix.

Tampon Use Problem Posted: 12-04-07 08:32am
I too have the problem of the tampon not
working for me after my two children. The
tampon will be inserted properly and I
have leakage. Also the tampon works it's
way out. Summertime has become a bummer
during my period because I have to refrain
from swimming for at least three days
until my flow is light. I asked years ago
about it and was told to practice my kegal
(sp) excersises! That doesn't help.

This may be because you got slightly
stretched out from your pregnancies. Try
using a larger sized tampon; it should
stay in better. Also, if you are worried
about leaking, wear a pad and a tampon at
the same time.

The larger tampon does not seem to help. I
am not going to wear a pad with a tampon
because the reason I want the tampon is to
swim and a pad in a swimsuit does not
work. I just end up going with the pad and
having to refrain from the pool for a few
days.
