New Job

Dan is trying to get a new job and I so
hope he gets the one that he interviews
for.
Right now we live on the north side of the
city and he is working on the south side
and I mean WAY south side. Because the
commute is so long and he works such long
hours he stays at my uncle's house because
it is only 10 minutes from his office.
That means that he is gone monday and
tuesday back on wednesday and then gone
thursday and friday again. He works super
long hours so that he can make extra money
and I think that it is wearing us down.
Right now he is making about 25k a year
and for a web designer that is not very
much. This job that he is going for pays
about 55-60k a year. That would be a major
pay raise. Not to mention that we have no
benefits right now and the potential job
offers FULL benefits. I could actually go
to the dentist and get my teeth cleaned!
This has made him realize though that he
needs a new job. He has changed jobs 3
times already though so we were leary of
him finding another one because I think he
needs to stay grounded. Also, because of
the pay periods at his current job he
would have about 3 weeks without a
paycheck. That would be hard on us. Well,
I guess if he is salary then we wouldn't
have that.
Anyways, sorry that I am writing such a
long post. I am just so ecited and really
hoping that he gets this job. We need that
extra money and I really want to see him
every night.
I think I can do this but here is a link
to a current website he built ( I am in no
way soliciting, I just think his work is
awesome). If any mods have issues with me
posting links to the websites he has built
then I will take it down. I don't see how
it is any different then posting his
artwork though. It's the same thing, an
art.
www.design-team.us
He also designed everything in their
portfolio.

3 weeks is worth the wait its more than
double the current salary. You'll have to
really consider this because security vs 3
weeks of stuggling seems almost ridiculous
to pass up.

nick just went through a month long
interview process for a job that would
have paid 20% more than his current one.
it came down to him and one other guy and
unfortunately the other guy got it.

Ahh, I am so sorry. The pay increase would
be so awesome. We would be able to be out
of debt within a year if he gets it. I
wouldn't feel so bad if I got pregnant
then either.

Wow, a pay increase like that would be
great!! I hope he gets the job.
It must be hard to be away from him so
much during the week.
Are you working too?

I am just teaching piano right now. That
brings in some money but not a lot because
I only have a few students.

his work looks great. Neil (my ex DH) is a
website designer and he gets paid rubbish
too at the moment cause he just graduated.
It was funny cause when we were together
he went on about he was going to get 100k
a year but in reality he is making 20k

Dan never graduated ( he is 5 credits from
it) but because his work is so good he
usually doesn't have a problem getting a
GD job.
