Vaginal Discharge After Sex - yeast infection?
Posted: 12-05-07 21:44pm

with in the last two years I have found that after I have sex I always get what I think is a yeast infection. with or with out a condom. I have been tested for everything and it is all negitive. I have had a hystorectomy as well but just recent I had sex and 2 months in to the new relationship I have another yeast infection this time with an odor. Is is just the way my body reacts to someone new can it have something to do with having a hys and frequent discharge is just normal or what.

Hi,

Discharge after having sex is normal, in my opinion and knowledge. As I picture it, what goes in must come out. That's what I have found in my own experiences.

In addition, I have noticed, as well, that when there is a change in partners, sometimes, there is also a change in odors. I suspect this has a lot to do with the body, natural chemistry, and the resulting chemical reaction. Bottom line, it is very possible that the odor is just the way you two smell when your body fluids mix, if you are having unprotected sex.

If you are not having unprotected sex and having abnormal discharge with discoloration and odor, I would suggest paying a visit to the doctor.

However, there is a certain level of natural discharge from the vagina. This is where it is important, I believe, to know your body. Be aware of what your normal natural body odor is so that when that changes you will know that it actually has and can tell the difference between whats normal or abnormal for you.

When all else fails, put your heart, mind, and soul to rest, and pay your doctor a visit.

I would see a doctor. You could have an infection that has gone untreated. Also are you diabetic? My friend had the same thing happen to her and it was related to her diabetes.

You Learn Something New In the Simplest Ways

Hi Rosie H,

I never knew that one can get this type of discharge and it be associated with diabetes.

I really need to get with things. That's why I like being a part of this forum. There is so much to learn, even when you think there can't be much left on certain subjects that you don't know.

Thanks for the information.

Get a diagnosis. Find out what the problem is. I have treated vaginal infections with douche with colloidal silver or lugols Iodine. They are essential components of my medicine cabinet.

Is it just like a day after, or for how long?

Right after sex (like the next day) that is normal for more discharge and more smelliness. There is still sperm left up there that causes the smell.

If it lasts for a while, you'll want to get it checked out. But usually infections bring along other symptoms.

That's a bit of tidbit that's new to me. That's nice to know.
