My cousin is due to have her baby any
time. Her date was last Sunday, and they
have threatened her with an induction on
the 17th (why do they have to have that
hanging over women's heads like a
guillatine?) I am so excited to be her
doula, I can hardly wait. I guess I
should get my bag packed for that! She
was 50% effaced and 1 cm at her last
appointment, so I gave her the standard
suggestions, and I hope she can get by
without being induced. Her care provider
just doesn't seem to be very
nurturing-when they checked her he/she
said "well that doesn't really mean
anything". Hello? How about a pep talk?
Sheesh. Anyway, the day is almost here!
