Haven't posted here in a bit, but figured
I would update a little.
My husband and I were referred to a
reproductive endocrinologist once we hit
our 11th cycle of trying. We went and saw
her a couple of weeks ago and she's great!
She did an ultrasound and said my ovaries
and uterus look fine. I don't even have
any cysts and she did see follicles. The
next week I had a hysterosalpingogram.
Which was an awful experience that I hope
to never go through again. But, she told
me right after I had it that my tubes are
not blocked and my uterus looked good (no
abnormalities). I think the next two
things are getting blood work and a semen
analysis. So, that's it!

Hopefully everything turns out great and
you get your well deserved BFP soon.

I wondered were you had run off to. I'm
glad you will be getting some answers. I
know how frustrating it can be wondering
what can be wrong. But, it sounds like
your tests have been good so far.
My dh is having his semen analysis done on
Monday. So, we are pretty close in our ttc
journey.
I hope we both get our BFP's soon!
Has the doctor discussed any possibilities
of treatment? Or is she waiting for the
results to mention anything?

I just had my HSG on Tuesday. Everything
looked normal for me as well. My dh had
his SA. His volume and count are
extremely high, and his shape and motility
are normal. The only thing that was
outside of the normal range was his pH
level and the pregression was borderline.
I don't know what those things mean, but
I'll do some internet research when I get
a chance.
Our bloodwork came back normal, so we
don't have any diseases or infections to
worry about.
I just need my FSH and then we sit down
with the doctor to figure out whether we
are candidates for IUI or IVF. Based on
the test results so far, I don't think
there is a reason to skip the IUI and go
directly to IVF.
I know what you mean about the HSG. That
was painful. I didn't mind the catheter
too much, but the pressure from the die.
Ouch. I wonder if the catheter part is
similar to what is used in an IUI. I hope
that doesn't hurt.

She hasn't mentioned anything about
treatment yet. I feel like if there is
nothing wrong with either of us, then I
don't need to worry about being treated
for infertility for awhile.
The catheter was a pretty bad part, but
she actually said she numbed my cervix
before she inserted it. I agree, the
pressure from the dye was the worst!
