Elevated Liver Enzymes And Weight Posted: 04-16-04 11:41am
Hi...I recently found out that I have an
elevation of my liver enzymes. I had a
baby 1 yr ago, I am 34 and I have been
having a real hard time losing the weight.
I have always had to work hard to be fit
and right now, I am at my heaviest ever.
I have noticed that my upper stomach is
always so bloated. I feel very full
after a meal and very uncomfortable. My
levels are not too bad, but bad enough for
me. The liver ultrasound showed a
hemangioma, but not totally confirmed
until the results of a pending cat scan.
I have been trying to work out and lose
this weight. I just started a serious
routine and I am praying for results. I
wondered if the two are connected in any
way. Can a liver problem cause weight
loss to be difficult? I am also taking
zoloft and I know that does slow
metabolism a bit. I have been on it for
4 yrs now and I have always been able to
get fit when I worked at it. This time
it is not so easy. I know my age has
something to do with it also. Can anyone
offer any opinion or advice on this?
Desperately hoping...Slaske
