Q: Sharp Lingering Pain In side of stomach
asked by: pixma on December 10th, 2007
Extremely eHealthy
I rolled over in bed this morning and got a sharp lingering pain on my lower right side of my stomach. This has happened a few times but the pain went away!!

I think i have pulled and muscle or something cause i am still in a bit of pain, especially when i'm standing or walking.

Could i have a Panadol to help with the pain? Grace is still moving about so i'm assuming its got nothing to do with her.

Thanks

No, it isn't a bad thing Smile Chances are that is what they'll chalk it up to, though. Anytime you have random stomach pains along the sides, they say 'Round ligament pains, its normal'. Sad Well, normal doesn't always feel good!

Yes, take some panadol and lie down on your left side.

You'll be fine in labor. Plus, they will give you something stronger than panadol if you ask! Smile

ROund ligament pain 'usually' isnt sharp pains they are more achy feeling. If it lingers on and on and it remains sharp, I would double check with your doctor. Just to be safe. How far along are you???

i've been getting those wonderful round ligament pains for 2 weeks now. I've found that taking a warm bath helps.

I got it all the time in the same spot it sounds like, just on the left side...and my baby turned out fine...the Dr. said it was normal since your uterus is being stretched beyond it's normal size.
