Justbeen Prescribed Viagra ...now What?
Posted: 12-11-07 10:59am

Hi, Im a fit 39 year old but for over two years now have not been able to maintain a strong erection. My and my girlfriend have tried penis rings and a relaxed/non-pressured approach but my penis always lets me down (so to speak). I might penetrate her but within a minute it goes semi soft and renders full sex useless!

Today I talked my female doctor into prescribing my some Viagra.
She didnt give me any tips of when to take it or how much. Maybe it was because she was embarrassed, I dont know.

I later collected my prescription from the chemist and she's only allowed me 4 x 25mg tablets! I thought that one had to take at least 50mg for them to work effectively.

What is the normal required dose, can I get away with 25mg? Im a little nervous about trying it with my girlfriend...what if these dont work?

Please give my some tips and hints as I am worried and also feel I am a little young to be on viagra. What of the future?

Thanks

you should try and I hope she did check you vitals and heart before prescribing something like this, and also that she educated you in the side effects like blue vision and things like that.

viagra as far as i know comes in 25mg, 50mg, or 100mg tablets. if you have been prescribed the lowest dose it could be because your case is not considered to be a severe one. this is a good sign. either that or you are just being started off on a low dose to start off with.

i find it strange she never said anything to you about how to take them. there should definately be instructions on use and risks in the box. however there is really no science to it. just take one tablet about an hour before you want to attempt sex and you should feel the effects. side effects can include feeling flushed, dizzy, light headed, headaches. don't be alarmed if this happens. but if the side effects are really severe or something seek medical advice. don't take them if you have any heart problems. and it sounds a stupid thing to add, but dont ever take poppers with viaga because the combination can be fatal.

viagra worked successfully on my partner. however he did experience the dizzyness, and a feeling like being stoned. personally we never liked viagra that much. the side effects were too annoying. there is a different medecine available known as cialis. it has generic equivalents too which are cheaper and do the same thing. the active ingredient is a different chemical to the stuff that is used in viagra. cialis lasts longer and has no side effects so if you are looking to use sex drugs on any kind of regular basis you might want to look into it. feel free to pm me.

however be aware that in theory none of these treatments will work if your problem is psychological not physical. are relations between you and your wife good? could this be caused by nervousness? do you maintain an erection when you are masturbating?

i forgot to mention that erection dysfunction can often (especially as people get older) be a symptom of diabetes or indeed other underlying physical problems. this is worth checking out. viagra is not a long term solution. your problem should be addressed properly by your doctor.

I, personally and professionally, hate any type of drugs. To create a erection NATURALLY WITHOUT drugs...

1) Take a multi-vitamin
2) Take 30mg zinc a day
3) Take supplements of flaxseed oil, GLA, EPA, evening primrose oil, wheat germ oil, dong quai, and gotu kola (under medical supervision, of course.)
4) Drink Damiana tea or take the capsule form. Powerful aphrodisiac.

Also, practice relaxation techniques...

I am a medical professional providing info in treating conditions and ailments naturally without drugs.

thanks for your replies. We found that the 25mg didnt really work but the 50mg certainly did! It seemed to last all night as well!
It is a weird cycle, i am nervous as Im constantly waiting for it to fail me. We have tried relaxation methods, we get off to a good start but it suddenly lets me down.
Regarding masturbation. Its fairly hard during, it varies hardness. But if I stop, sometimes my penis can literrally droop and I have to bring it back to a decent hardness.
I remember when I was about 15 years younger and there was nothing I could do to stop my erections, now they stop regularly!
Good new is that the 50mg worked and i will go back and get 50mg later this week.
I will also def look into Cailis.

Thanks.
