Birth Story!

Not much went on during the day saturday. We went to the wedding, and reception. I was told by my doctor it was ok to attend the wedding. But to get home and rest after. So i hung out a bit. Had some of the free foods there and headed home about 8pm. My fiance stayed there cause i didn't figure anything would happen so i told him to hang out, and have some beers or whatever. I got home, and surfed the internet till about 10, and passed out on the couch. Fiance came home about 11pm, and i decided to head to bed cause he was home, and i felt better going to bed that way. Of course he was two sheets to the wind lol, and wanted to cook some food. So he started cooking pancakes, and sausage, and i went to the potty, and headed to bed. When i went to the potty i noticed a big glob of mucus in the toilet. Sorry TMI I thought my plug had gone the week before, but it could have been the rest of it. But i was to tired to really care lol so i went to bed. I just kinda laid there. I coughed, and that's when my water broke. And i knew it wasn't pee cause i had JUST went about 15 mins ago. So i headed to the bathroom, and there was blood on the TP, and i said yep it's time to GO! In the middle of cooking pancakes, and sausage lol we gathered up all our stuff, and headed out the door. His car had a doughnut on it so we had to take mine, and mine was on E lol i knew i should have gotten gas before i came home. So we went to the gas station, and i realised i left the debit card at home, and had to turn around and head back to the only 24 hour gas station and use a check. BUT we got gas and we were on our way!


We got to the hospital about a half hour later, and got checked in, and set up. They had a trainee there that night so when it came time to get my IV i got stuck about 4 times before they put the stupid thing in. They checked me, and i was still only 3cm, but fully effaced. I didn't start getting steady contractions until about 2am. And they started coming fast! I asked for the epi about 3am, or 4. But they said that i needed to drain that bag of fluid first before i could have one. But they gave me something else, and i can't remember what it was called. It started with a N, but felt so good! lol I felt kinda drunk, or maybe high. I don't know, but it let me rest that's for sure. But the contractions kept getting stronger, and i kept asking for the epi, and every time they would say i couldn't get it just yet. Well they finally game in about 630, and started the paper work for it. Why then i don't know. But we finished, and she said that i needed to empty my bladder before they could give it to me. By then my labor was so active i could hardly get off the bed, and every time i did i could contract, and it hurt so bad. I was shaking, and i was SOOO hot. It took me about 10 mins to make it to the toilet, and i tried to go pee, but i would push, and that wasn't pee, that was baby! lol I said well i think this baby is coming out now! You need to get the doctor, or she'll be coming out in this toilet. It took all i had to make it to the bed again, and that's when my body started to push. I think holding in a push is worse than the contractions. So they started getting set up, and checked me, and sure enough i was a 10, and ready to have this baby. BUT i had to wait for the doctor. Took her about 20 mins to get there, but it felt like HOURS! She finally showed up, and the next contraction i had i pushed. Pushed 3 times, and Sophia was out! So i can say i did it all natural! It wasn't as bad as i thought, but it still hurt. So i figure from about 3-7 i went from a 3-10cm, and my labor was only 7 hours long. i really don't know it happend so fast. I was just really shocked that they never came back to check me. But i had her at 743am. She was 5lbs 14oz, and 19in long. No tears! And to the post the other day i didn't poop on the table But there it is. Not much just cause it happened so fast!
