Blood disorder or diabetes ? Posted: 12-17-07 12:42pm
I am concerned about a male friend of mine
who has been diagnosed with diabetes and
have seen a doctor and was given
medications and e took them; but the pills
were finish and i was told that he didnt
go back to see a doctor. But i didnt know
it was serious until i went there on
Saturday 15/12/07 when i was told that he
was passing blood through his nose,
buttocks and penis. Has the diabetes gone
bad or its something else?

Diabetes mellitus does not manifest with
bleeding through the nose, anus and/or
penis. Such bleeding could be due to some
type of blood coagulation disorder. Your
friend can see a blood disorder
specialist, a hematology docotr, for
diagnosis, treatment, and follow up
options.
