Applied For Disability. Need Help Wording the Form Posted: 12-17-07 16:08pm
I have applied for SS disability and now
the forms have gone out asking how bipolar
effects my life. To sum it up here is the
following.
-Extream paranoia and distrust at work
ending in arguments and eventualy loss of
the job
-Sleep
-Hygene
-Antisocial
-Dont trust others
-Rapid thoughts clashing with tasks.
(Could be my ADHD)
-Dont want to leave the home
-even though on a number of meds highs
still cause antisocial behaviors (Still
mixing them for a right mix. Almost
there)
-Extream anxiety
-Depression (Get tuck in lows. Meds keep
it happening as much but it still does)
I have come to this fourum to hopefully
avoid the "Its all in your head. You can
controll this" Answere. Seems the only
ones that understand this are those that
have it. SO I need to find a way to word
all this for the paperwork from SS. I
always fail to say what I mean when I
write things down for stuff like this. It
gets taken the wrong way and causes great
feelings of failure. SO if you can please
help me out with this.
Thanks
-Del
This is my first post here. I hope I found
a good place.

First of all get every hospital and
doctor's office notes you can. They will
be sending a form for every class of
disability you are claiming. Main thing is
make sure you answer every question
truthfully and throughly. Keep copies of
everything you get from SSD in a folder.
And I mean everything. Have each of your
doctors write a letter of intent why you
they feel you are unable to work right
down to the letter. If you have an
attorney make sure you give them to the
office and up-date them every time
something changes even if you brake a
finger nail. As long as you fill out all
of the SSD paper work honestly. Don't make
anything bigger then it is.
I was denied twice and not off to the
judge I go. May take another year or so. I
first filled in Jan 06 and have been out
of work since July 06. I have hear through
my attorney that they are so backed up
that they are now just pulling cases back
from 05! It could take up to three years
and yes you most likely will be denied the
first two time you claim. But keep up the
fight.

Just wanted to clarify one thing. I
applied back in march this year. Theese
forms are seeking additional information.
Forms also went out to friends I listed in
the begining. They already have all my
medical stuff from VA. This is a service
connected disability. VA already has me
80% disabled for this. I have also applied
for unemployability benifits from VA. That
will take 6 months
Hopefully the VA rating will put some good
weight behind this for SSD. Already denied
SSI due to how much VA gives me.

I'm sorry. I meant to say I have been out
of work since July of 06 and filled this
past January of 07. My mistake, sorry.
