Extreme Shoulder Pain
Posted: 12-18-07 14:35pm

I was invovled in a 4 wheeler accident yesterday night and ended up slamming my head and shoulder into the ice. Luckily I was wearing a helmet. I hit the rock solid ice so hard it even cracked the helmet. I thought i was okay at the time, I knew i had hit my shoulder and it was a little soar but im a preety big guy and work out alot. Im 19 and played football in high school and didnt think much of it at the time and got back on my 4 wheeler and started riding again. I think it was because of the adrenilan rush. well after about 20 min. of more riding, it started to really hurt so i went in and sat down. within the next 30 min. the pain was really intense. Inow cant barley use my shoulder without having these sharp pains. its extremely soar and it throbs if i dont hold my arm up. I ive alone and have no insurance and cant go the hospital. i dont know what to do. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh my. Sorry no one has responded until now.

You might have experienced muscle, lmigament, joint or cartilage damage. You will need to see an orthopedic physician... someone who specializes in the shoulder. Is there a clinic in your town? If not, you need to get insurance first and then see a doctor.
