tried different bc - still having bleeding Posted: 12-18-07 18:43pm
Hey ladies. If you read some of the bc
forums you might know some of this. I
started having problems about a year ago.
I was on the depo (which I did not have
problems with for over 2 years) I started
getting sick, headaches, all the symptoms
I had had with my last pregnancy. Well I
wasn't pregnant, so my dr switched my bc
thinking my body needed a break from the
shot. Well I started the patch and it went
well until about 4 months in then I
started having some spotting during the
month. Then my periods started getting
longer and sooner. By the end I had my
period 20 out of the 30 days of that
month. I just kept bleeding more! I
changed to the ring and got a yeast
infection (which I dont think has to do
with the ring) and still didn't stop
bleeding. So I stopped taking anything
until I could get to my checkup. He did an
ultrasound and everything was ok my
endometrium was a little thin. He did
blood work and that all came back good.
Being off anything for about 2 months I
had stopped bleeding except for a normal
period. So he started me on a pill (which
made me nervous because I got pregnant
with my son while on a pill) but this one
he thought would thicken my endometrium so
I didnt' have spotting and stuff. Well the
first month no spotting go my period a
couple days before I was supposed to
everything seemed to be going good. Well
now today I have my period, I'm only a
week and a half into my pack! I'm getting very
frusterated!!!! I can't be off we would
definitely end up with a baby then and my
husband is too young to get fixed. I don't
know what to do anymore. I'm going to have
to go talk to my dr again but there is not
alot more he can do I know that. I work in
a pharmacy I know anything else might not
help much either.
Like I said I just needed to vent. I had a
really bad day and this didn't help at
all! I just am getting sick of bleeding
all the time. I was really hoping this
time I was going to do better.
Thanks for letting me vent. It somewhat
makes me feel better

Im not possitive if its out yet (or if its
a fake ad lol)
But i saw this add on tv for a male bc
pill. You could try doing a search to see
how they work, and how much they cost.
Than you could just have your husband be
protected instead of you. If your
inturested in it let me know, and ill keep
an eye out for the ad again.
Also, if you want to try another pill, the
pill im on is called Ortho Micronor, and
it stoped my period all togeither in a
couple of months. you could try that one
and see if it does the same thing. Ive
talked to some other people taking it and
there periods stoped also.
Good luck to you, hope you get everything
figuard out!

Yea I know I'm not supposed to be posting
here, but I come bearing good information
so read it before you throw me to the
lions :-p
The male birth control pill intrigued me
so I did a little research on it and found
out that though it is in progress, it has
not been released. You can read about it

Thanks alot guys!! Yeah I was on the patch
(its in that mess of babbeling) I don't
know an IUD might be my next option. I'm
really not sure. Like I said I got
pregnant with my son while on bc so i'm
really hesitant to try something new. Yeah
I know of orthro micro I would have to
look how similar it is to ones I've taken.
Hey the male bc would be awesome!!!! Thnks
for the site to look at.

Looked at the orthro micro at work today
and not so sure about trying it because it
is the same hormones that was in the bc I
took when I got pregnant. I don't know!!!
I need to get a hold of my dr cause on top
of everything I think I have a yeast
infection again. (I've had these as well
since switching from the patch to the
ring.) I never had one before this. I feel
like my body is going crazy!
