Spotting On Yaz - not enough progestin? Posted: 12-18-07 19:34pm
I've been on Yaz for about 8 months, and
continue to have spotting in the middle of
my cycle. I take the pill regurally,
within hours of a certain time every day.
I'm certainly not pregnant.
I've read that spotting is caused by
mybody not recieving enough progestin. Is
this true? And if it is what pills out
there have more progesting than Yaz, 3mg
drospirinone?
Any help will be very much appreciated.

I've been having the same problems with
yaz and I'm thinking of going back to
ortho-tricyclen because I never had any
problems with it. I also end up having a
longer period on yaz even though it's
supposed to give you a "3 day period." I'm
not sure about the progestin levels, but
since so many women are on ortho-tricyclen
I assume that it's one of the best out
there, and from personal experience I'd
say that it's much better than yaz.
