Sad Im sorry it didnt work out quite right. Still you did the right thing. Maybe you can open up to this person she wants you to talk to and even if they arent the right one to help they could point you in then right direction and validate to your parents that its more than just a movie. Keep trying to speak out your mom doesnt understand what is going on exactly and probably thinks you have something troubleing you but just doesnt realize the severity. I would still try writing it all down. Keep a sort of journal, one for your private use and one to share with a therapist when you find the right one. Im sorry you probably feel pretty helpless. Im not sure your age is it possible you could seek help yourself? I would get the phonebook and call a few doctors offices and ask them how to approach this with your parents that you feel you need someone who understands this to talk to not a herbalist or whatever :p
Good luck hon dont give up

Tangerine,

Be persistent with your mom. Tell her everything. Write it down and put it in a note to her. When you see the social worker be frank and honest. Tell him/her everything. Ethically they can not nor should they ignore you and the symptoms you are having. Is there another adult in your life that you trust - a teacher, counselor, coach, aunt, uncle, grandparents, parent of a good friend, clergyman? They can run interference for you with your mom. Do not give up! You did the right thing. You can not take responsibility for another person's responses to things. Parents often go into denial when there is something wrong with their children. Mental illness is poorly understood by most and less accepted by most so you can see why your mom would not want to accept anything may be wrong.

Keep knocking on doors! Someone will listen. Let us know how you are. We are here for you!

I saw the social worker. She said I'm fine.

I don't know why I feel so empty though.

Ya know, there really are people and/or "things"(one of the two or both) that can read your mind.
Was everybody aware of that? Because that actually happens.
Do some research on the phenomenon because it's very real, mind reading, thought transference(like you making others think things as if there was a voice in there head), and shtuff like that.
It's a magical world people, and I think that we'd be pretty suprised to know just how magical it really is. However, I'm not saying that that is a good thing.

Tangerine,

Maybe you *are* fine, but from what you say, a social worker is not best qualified to tell you that. I think you need a proper medical evaluation by a psychologist and you really must go back to your mother, or a trusted teacher, and be open and honest about how miserable you are. Your mother may not want to face up to it, or may think she is doing best by you in playing it down, but a teacher is legally bound to act on - or pass on to the correct agencies - information that you give her regarding your mental welfare. I urge you to be self-reliant and go out and get the help you feel you need.

it's hard for me to do that, though. I don't know....Alex is gay, just to tell you. And now he has a boyfriend who has been with me for about two weeks. His name is Devon. He likes watching Wife Swap and Flip that House. His mom and dad are splitting up. He's allergic to peanuts.

What's really disturbing is how....real...they are...

Doing drugs with schizophrenia will only make it worse and deteriorate your mind further.
