Q: 5 Weeks Pregnant

Hi. I am about 5 weeks pregnant. I was pregnant in August and had a miscarriage around 4-5 wks, so everything makes me nervous this time around. My question is do any of you feel like you have light cramping (no blood, just cramps). They are very dull, and come and go. Is this normal? My doctor says yes but I am curious if this is common. Other than this, I only feel bloated and tired in the afternoon. Thanks for your help!

Around the time I ovulated and became pregnant I had severe cramping. But I had no cramping or any signs of pregnancy at 4-5 weeks. If the doctor says it's normal than I think that should make you feel alittle better. Good luck and enjoy your ultrasound!

I too had moderate cramping around my 4th week. Because usually I would have moderate menstrual discomfort and cramping prior to my period coming. I didnt have any bleeding either. I also had dull low back pain which is why I went to the ER because it was to the point where I couldnt stand straight up. So when I go to the ER of course they did a urine and immediately came back and told me that I was pregnant. When I mentioned to the physician that I was cramping he asured me that it was normal and that if there wasnt any bleeding, I was fine.

my sister in law said cramping is normal as long as theres no bleeding, she said its your uterus growing and stretching, shes also a nurse so i trust her word also the doctor i talked to said that is normal as long as theres no blood.

it's very common to feel period-like cramps in the beginning. if the cramping is severe or there's blood, call your doctor.

i know how hard it is to relax and enjoy pregnancy after a prior loss, but try your hardest! unfortunately miscarriage is very common, but many women go on to have healthy pregnancies and babies.

good luck and congrats!

i think she was referring to a missed miscarriage. my first baby stopped developing at 8 weeks but i didn't find out until 13 weeks, there was no blood or any other sign that there was anything wrong.

missed miscarriages are more common than you think. you can miscarry and not even know about it because you have no signs or symptoms

I just found out last night that I'm pregnant. I think I'm around 5 weeks. I miscarried at 12 1/2 weeks back in July so i know where you are coming from about being nervous. I just had about a 30 minute crying spell. Anyway, I've heard that cramping is normal and I've had some dull cramping and I cramped the first time.

i too had cramping early on in my pregnancy. i am 12 weeks today and everything is going fine. the doctor told me it was probably "round ligament pain" which is basically things stretching to make room for growing uterus and baby.

I also had cramping early on in my pregnancy. It didn't ever go away unfortunately. I still have it and I'm 34 weeks pregnant.

I still have cramping too, and I'm 24wks. it basically started the day I got pregnant lol, hasn't stopped.

apparently most girls have a miscarriage without knowing it at some point in their life. meaning they got pregnant and had their period without ever knowing they were pregnant. Read it in a magazine and my only question is where do they get their data for that? Think about it...
