Ok, I'm not sure if I mentioned
this...probably not.
Well, I'm need to lose weight. The doctor
told me it would be in my best interest.
(I cried...a lot)
And I've been trying. I really have. But
nothing has changed. I'm getting really
frustrated, and I really want to give up.
But I can't.
I need to be held accountable. I need
someone to make me.
What do you ladies use to help you lose
weight?

She said that I'm overweight and it could
hurt my fertility.
I weigh 165 and I'm 5-5. So, I don't
disagree that I need to lose weight, but
the whole reason I've put on weight is the
hormones! And she said that is why it is
hard to lose it.
I just feel like it's pointless. It's
going to be SO hard to lose 2 pounds and I
highly doubt its going to make me any more
fertile. I feel like I'm running and
running just to stand still.

Christy are you exercising? I have just
started working out again and I have
already lost 5 pounds. I have been doing
the eliptical and the treadmill. If you
have time to workout on cardio mashines,
google HIIT. It is High Intensity
Interval Training. Its super easy and
very effective for weight loss. My friend
who is a trainer told me about it.
Also another easy way to shed the pounds
is to cut your sweets out completely.
With that switch to whole grain
EVERYTHING. And try to limit your carb
intake. Just watch the carbs and starches
and sweets, and it should be easy to lose
a little weight.
How much did the doctor say that you
needed to lose? (I personally don't see
that you need to lose weight)

Also wanted to add that I just had a
physical and they say that I need to lose
25 pounds. I am 5'10" and weight about
170 and they said I needed to lose that
much. I laughed!!! There is no way, I
would look emaciated.
Its all relative.

I've already cut out all soda. Which was
HARD!!! I'm only drinking one coffee drink
a week (or my head will explode)
I've started doing this 'Celebrity Work
out' (it's on fittv) but, I'm not to
impressed with it. When I get home I'll
look up that hiit, it sounds really
interesting.
I will start watching my carbs. Man I love carbs,
pasta is my best friend. Actually, I've
done better with that to. I've switched to
mostly veggis meals. But I still eat pasta
when I want it. I guess that will be the
next thing to change.
She didn't say how much I should lose. She
just said that 'any weight lose will be
beneficial'.
I go for my god appt on the 14th and I
know they'll weight me.

I'm 165 and 5'5" too!! I've just started
drinking more water (not much) and
drinking sprite zero instead of having
like... 6 cans of pepsi a day and that
already had one something I think.
I think if you just change the way you eat
you should lose, like eat lots of fruits
and veggies instead of fast food and
change your portions? I hate dieting...
I'm not much help, I'm sorry!
good luck lady!

And thanks for the great advice!! That was
very helpful!
I know I need to lose some weight. I would
like to be 135...but that's not going to
happen. I'll settle for 145. That is still
20 pounds...ugh.
I'm still going to have some eggnog...and
no one can stop me!

Sorry you're having so much trouble losing
weight, we're pretty much in the same boat
with that. I'm 5'4 & 160lbs. I've been
dieting for over a little over a month now
& still have only lost one pound. I
found a bunch of videos on youtube for Tae
Bo, maybe that's something you'd have fun
with as well? Here's the video I'm
starting out on, it'll make you tired just
watching it though, beware! lol..

Working mostly! And Christmas
shopping/wrapping/decorating and visiting
with family and whatnot. Umm, and hiding
from the new pregnancy/new baby posts one of the girls at
work just had a baby girl and she brought
her in last night, and I wanted to steal
her
Two days ago I had a RIVER of cm though
(ha, tmi) so I think maybe I might have
ovulated? We got friendly just in case

Here's another video I found, Basic TaeBo,
might be a little easier starting out on,
I might do this one for a while before I
jump into that 8 minute one!

Christy, with the portion control, you
should try to eat smaller meals during the
day more often. I have a hard time with
that, but I have been told by my trainer
friend that this will help you to lose
weight as well.
When you are cooking dinner or when you
are out at diner, take what you order and
immediatly split it in half. If you cook
at home then put it in tuperware and save
it for lunch the next day. And if you are
out at dinner, split your meal and ask the
waiter for a to go box and put the half in
there. That way if you don't see it you
won't be tempted.
I have a hard time with this one, but my
friend keeps trying to pound it into my
head every chance he gets. When we go out
to eat with him, I make sure I do it, but
I don't always do it. I do always try to
leave some of whatever I am eating on my
plate.

how bout you or you and a friend sign up
for a gym member ship and make it a
routine that you go like 3 days out of the
week, but remember muscle weighs more than
fat at the beginning when you start
exercising then you start losing the
weight you want to lose and build muscle
to tone you
