Demodetic mange is caused by naturally occuring mites on the skin that were transferred there at birth or soon after. They only become an issue when a dog has a weakened immune system and can not keep them under control. The best thing is get them mitaban dipped multiple times and get them on a medicine regimen to cure it.

Suzy, I though you accidentally ODed her and THAT almost killed her. If that is the case she would do ok on regular dosing. Also, your doctor should NOT have sent you home with the injection. It does not need to be given often enough to require you to do it yourself.

the vet said any dog that young and that small givin a dosage that high of ivermectin could kill them. but yes she had too much
and the vet didnt send me home with it
she was givin the meds to me by the woman whom i took her from at pawmatch rescue
theyve already had a lawsuit filed on them for it by another rescue group too.

yeah shes going to get dipped. the vet thought he minght be able to fight it off herself but her system was too weak from all the treatment she had to go through a few months back or we would have gotten her dipped sooner Sad

Gone,

If that is the case then she could probably take a few injections at the proper dosage fairly well now.

Not off the top of my head. We normally just have them drop off and do it as a bath. I do not think it costs more than $100 at MOST. it depends on the weight of the dog. Their are also some at home treatments you can do as well to help her. You can im me on yahoo for some links.
