Probably not. The bleeding is more than
likley just because of the exam, but if
your pains continue you should go to the
hospital. Just to be on the safe side you
should call your ob or mid wife.

This bleeding and pain concerns me. (Of
course, so does a stupid invasive exam at
37 weeks, but I guess it would depend on
why you had to have one...) If it doesn't
stop or keeps coming back, I'm guessing
placenta abrupta? Call your doctor.

I had been in labor for almost 18 hours
before I began feeling any pains. My pain
started about an hour after being hooked
up to Pitocin.
lynsey83 - the bleeding is most likely due
to your exam like the others have said.
However, if it continues for more that 1
day or your pain does not subside, I would
call your OB. Better to be safe.
it could also be the mucous plug, mine
looked like that, i went to thehospital
and thats what hey told me lol. so more
then likely its your mucous plug if
anything, but if ur pains rare consistent
or get worse id go to the hospital.
