Should An X Know About U And Your Partners Relationship?
Posted: 12-20-07 21:43pm

Well my curiosity is sparked due to my best guy friend orposing to his girl! Aww.

I was at work today and was daydreaming bout my guy and the possible future we mite have together lol I was wondering if the ex has any rite in this whole world to know what happens in our relationship? I don't think so personally and many of you mite agree or disagree.

For example, when we move, if we get engaged, have kids, buy a house etc get a dog lol

I dreamed last nite that we got engaged and he went off and told his baby mama and I was furious. Naturally... But that he ended up inviting her, there was drama and the party etc and I woke up angry but laughing lol what do you guys think? Would you Let your guy or girl go around letting their exs kno bout what happens in your relationship?

in my opinion...it's none of the ex's business. My boyfriend's ex IMs him sometimes and asks about us...like she is always interested to as if we've had sex yet...and she just recently got married (labor day weekend) and she is pregnant, and she invited my boyfriend to the wedding....it kind of pissed me off. Also, last summer, when he was in his hometown....her parents were outside...so he stopped in to see them...and she ended up coming by later....at least he was honest and told me about it...but it still pissed me off...why would he even stop at her parents house in the first place?...They dated for about 3 years total...they broke up for like 3 months somewhere in those 3 years...he hates her now though...she cheated on him with his best friend. But anyway, I think it's none of the ex's business what goes on in your life.

I don't think an ex has a right to know what you are doing (though websites like myspace make stalking easier). No one (exs included) has a right to know what you do not want them to know and if someone from the past came and asked anything more specific than "How are you doing?" it would just be a little creepy.

A right to know? Very
Happy
Of course not. But if my boyfriend was still pretty close with an ex then I could really care less. Obviously I wouldn't want the really personal details in the conversation, but if he's just saying that everything's great blah blah blah... i don't mind. Now if an ex came up demanding for details on the relationship because she was with him before and she has a right to know I'd laugh in her face.

Invited to my wedding? Eh, I wouldn't be thrilled to see any of my guys past girlfriends but I wouldn't let it ruin my big day.

And my ex likes to butt in on my relationship. If its nothing too personal I just tell him the truth, if it is personal(like have you had sex yet) then I tell him its none of his business then I usually stop talking to him for awhile because like whaturmuva said-- it's a little creepy.

The only acceptable reason I can think of is because your still close friends with an ex-- if that's the case then what's the big deal with them knowing if you're engaged or whatever?

I was asking cause my boyfriend is the type to tell everything that's going on lol he told his baby momma that we had moved in together, etc. Things I didn't want her to find out about. So now I'm always having to make sure that I ask him not to tell her anything or else he.ll blab it all out lol he.s doing a lot better after I asked him to totally leave everthing out us to her. Its like if I got pregnant I wouldn't want her to kno. Yea I kno I'm evil for thinking that lol
