Serious - Small Wee Wee Posted: 12-22-07 18:06pm
This is serious. Brian has a very small
wee wee. Even the doctor stated that
Brian's is a lot smaller than average.
Nathan's was very long. You can't hardly
see Brian's. It looks like a button. It's
even cross my mind - what if he was
supposed to be a girl...it's that small.
Anyone else have a son that had a very
small wee wee/ penis? Whatever you
personally call it.
I am actually worried. The person who
watches Brian has mentioned it and my mom
just came in from out of town and she just
mentioned it about two minutes ago. All of
those people have seen their fair share of
little wee wee's.
i think i may have heard something about
wher it can be not all the way out like it
is suposed to be, that is odd, my friends
sons is on the smal side, but he was a
preemie he is now 15 mths oldand ikeep
forgetting that he is that big! But hes
also a chunky lil kid as well. maybe its
retracted inside him? Id try and see a
specialist about that but i dont know what
kind of specialist oulw deal with that,
maybe start of witha urologist.

can you pop it out by pushing on the fat
around it?
finn's was like that (and still is
sometimes, like after he gets out of the
tub), i used to call it his second belly
button! his was because he had an extra
chubby fat pad and it just kind of
"swallowed" his penis. once he became
mobile and started slimming down, it fixed
itself. i was very worried in the
beginning though and wondered if it would
ever be normal. his pediatrician popped it
out and said it's the normal size and he
reassured me that it's just because he's
chunky and will fix itself.
it's called hidden or buried penis. i
don't recommend googling it since it'll
bring up a lot of scary info on adults
with the problem and it seems to be a very
common harmless issue with chubby baby
boys.

Ha ha! Thanks. I may have tried googling
it.
Yes, I can push it out and it is bigger.
Yet even when I push it out, it is sooo
darn small. Brian doesn't have a lot of
fat on him. He looks chunkier in the
pictures then he really is. He is long and
slender (90th percentile for length and
50th percentile for weight). The
pediatrician also popped it out once and
still said it's pretty small Brian's was
extremely small right from the start. It's
just a shock when your other child was
considered fairly long. It does look like
a second belly button.
It probably is just a hidden penis.
So....if my son is not chunky, can he
still outgrow this problem? I know he is
only 5 months but my goodness...it is so
small and I can't help but being worried.
I will just bring it up again at his six
month appt.
Bridget, did you google it and get
scared?? I am still tempted to google it.
I told my mom about the urologist and she
said " you must go!" There is no problem
with his peeing so I don't know what I
would actually tell them.." I am concerned
because my son's pee pee is really small!"
I think I would feel pretty stupid. I
actually was getting used to it until my
mom came in this afternoon to tell me that
she thinks it's extremely small.

i did google it and i freaked out because
the sites were showing pictures of grown
men with that problem and i didn't want my
baby to be like that when he grew up! then
i posted about it on my other forum, which
is a nov 06 birthclub, and it turned out
to be fairly common there with the other
baby boys his age. i'd just never heard of
it because it's not something people talk
about, you know?
i'd really try not to worry about it. the
area around the penis is really called the
"fat pad", so it's just fat. i'm assuming
even slimmer boys can still have a fattier
fat pad and if you can push on it and pop
it out, it's probably fine.
i don't know about the size though. it has
to be just like everything else, people
have different sized noses, hands, ears,
whatever. i wouldn't be too concerned over
the size. you'll be seeing him naked for a
few years more so you'll be able to see if
it's growing and looking more "normal".
plus as grown men they can all be
different sizes, so maybe his will just be
on the shorter side.
is he circumsized? it also seems to be
much more common for circ'd boys.
oh, and my mom used to bring it up all the
time too. she couldn't help but comment
every time she changed him and it drove me
nuts!

aww haha im sure he's fine!! Rob calls it
"turtle d**k" but thats when its cold and
kinda runs inside lol.
i would take him to a urologist just to
be sure and put ur mind at ease.
i brought up urologist because thats the
only perso i can think of that would
haveany knowledge whatsoever ever about
that sorta issue, i gues they can refer
yout o someone that knows a bit more about
it . I cant think of another dr that would
know anything about it othe then like a
cosmetics dr but i think a urologist
wouldb ea good start or maybe the
pediatrican can tell u someone suited for
that issue, i was reading stuff up on it
along time ago but i cant remember what it
said at al and i really wish i could grrr
lol, i dont remebereading if it fixes
itself, i know girls have a vagina problem
wher its not opened alll the way and by
puberty it fixes itself, jordnne has that
problem and they gave me strogen cream to
put on her, i duno the fix for males
though

My mom is visiting and completely agrees
with seeing a urologist. My husband read
what you all wrote and thinks that
although he is slender, it's still a
"turtle pee pee" and is hidden underneath
some fat. I can push it out but it's still
a little small. I will bring it up at his
next appt and see what his doctor says.
It's just so sad...I worry for the lil'
man.
Bridget...yep, I did respond to that one
thread and I guess I really didn't
understand what it truly feels like until
now. Now that my son has this problem.
My goodness. It does feel good not to feel
so alone in this. I was a little
apprehensive to even post this because I
didn't want people to think I am just
concerned that he has a small pee pee. It
goes way beyond that when it looks like a
belly button. I guess I wouldn't have even
known if Nathan's wasn't so pronounced. If
he is a "smaller" guy than we will have to
be careful not to make it a big deal
around our sons as you said, Bridget,
everyone is different.
OH MY!!! I googled hidden penis and my
son's penis looks like a picture I just
saw. Bad mistake. I should have listened
to you, Bridget. What if my son forever
looks like that?? I am going to show my
husband.

No seriously, I read more. It is a
congenital thing at birth or can be caused
by circumcision. Brian was small before
the whole "crappy" circumcision (I let my
husband decide). The doctor noted how
small it was even before. Now his looks
like the pictures.
I WILL be seeing a specialist after the
reading. You can't even see his penis at
all. He doesn't have a lot of fat either.
This is so unfair. If circumcision caused
it to be even worse, I will be the biggest
advocate against circumcision and will
never ever forgive myself.

Boy I wish I had some advice for you, but
that's unchartered territory for me. I am
really glad i didn't have to decide about
circumcision, cause i am still on the
fence.
