I couldn't seem to find a children forum
on this site, so this is close enough.
I'm 17, and my daughter is 11 months old.
Btw, i'm just here to vent.
She is the most beautiful thing I have
ever seen, and her father will miss out on
everything that happens in her beautiful
little life.
So eff him.

the dad because he is missing out and my
husband plays a great father role for now!

Let me give you a word of advice from a 34
yr old with two children in which there
dad chooses to not be in there life.
Life goes on. It is unfortunate that he
is not in your babies life. But at 17
could he just be to immature to be there?
Time will tell and if he ever grows to the
point where he wants to be envolved it is
never to late. Its hard to put your
personal feelings aside and do whats best
for your child instead of whats you think
is best. Its hard to put aside the hate
and betrayal feelings that you have to put
your babies first. Just remember no
matter how you feel about the babies
father.. What you feel should not effect
your childs best interest. For example I
think my ex is a piss poor dad. He is not
responsible nor even the man I thought he
was but... No matter my feelings for him.
(trust me I have had some very strong
hatred because he seems to think he should
be able to just walk away scott free
without a responsibliity in the world) I
must always do what is best for the kids
and keep those nasty thoughts and feelings
all to myself. My children are now old
enough to chose what they feel on there
own. Trust me I smiled so much inside
when my 12 year old said one day out of
the blue in the car while we were driving
(mommy you would punish me for life for
whats going thru my head... I said no I
wont sweetie whats up... She said ohhhh
yes you would.. I said no baby I wont
talk to me... She said my daddy can go to
hell for all I care... All this time he
cant be working and busy...) I never said
a word.. I didnt have too..
Be a good mom and dont talk bad about him
no matter the urge too. You baby will
grow up either with him in his/her life or
making up his/her own mind...

Thanks for the wonderful advice, I knew
this site would be good for me.
Aww, what a beautiful name! My little
girl is due on 10-29-03 and her name is
cheyenne naomi! Anyways, my name is
jessika and I am 17 too. I am living with
the father, austin, who is 20. I was put
on bed rest 2 days ago, after too much
stress caused my braxton hicks to turn
into a false alarm, so my goal is to stay
calm and be happy! Congratulations with
your daughter!
Good luck and best wishes
-jessika-
cheyenne naomi due 10-29-03
