There's a lot of commercialization, yeah. So what? I don't celebrate it that way. My friends have never bothered me about it in any way shape or form. I love Christmas music and decorations. My family has never had huge Christmases. It's always been about getting the toy you've wanted for several months and waited patiently for. It's about Christmas Mass (one of the few things I go to in the church).

I don't hate Christmas.

You know what I find more annoying than commercialized Christmas?

PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT IT.

Happy birthday. My grand fathers birthday is the 24th as well.

I too love Christmas.
I prefer surprises.

I'm a mixed bag at xmas.. I love the decorations and trees; sugar cookies are the awesomest thing ever invented (homemade ones are the best!) I shop everywhere; online; offline; big stores; small stores; I make crafts and jewelry for people as gifts.
All is well. I am wiccan so I actually celebrate Soltice Yule not technically xmas so my celebrations tend to be a few days before the main event.

Xmas like Thanksgiving are more about getting togather with my family and friends; having fun; talking; playing games with the kids; enjoying meals and just generally having a good time.
It has no religous significance to me but who can resist the smiles and delight of a two year old opening her presents? I know I can't.

Merry Xmas all and best wishes for a wonderful new year.
